The waiting finally comes to an end! Six years after "The Devil's Steed" and nearly twelve months after the album's harbinger "The Bad Luck Bird," the 10th of June is going to see a new album by Neofolk's founding fathers Sol Invictus,  "The Cruellest Month." On their full-length debut for Auerbach Tonträger, the musicians around Tony Wakeford and Andrew King deploy all their skills and present an angular, combative, and painful album, one of a kind you haven't heard from Sol Invictus in a long time.


To Tony Wakeford and Sol Invictus, June 2011 surely is not the cruelest month. For today, the Neofolk stalwarts not only release "The Cruelest Month," their long-awaited 17th studio album, also the press is euphoric about the return of Sol Invictus and their latest achievement:
